ABOUT CLOAR FARMS

Our farm in Dixie TN has been in our family since 1874. It is operated as a partnership by us mainly as a cattle farm. Some row crops are also produced in this location. If you are a cow calf operator in our area we do buy calves throughout the year as we currently don’t maintain a large enough cow herd to keep our feeder calf operation full. We also have feeder calves for sale and occasionally a small number of fed cattle. The other farms are strictly row crop and produce irrigated and dryland corn, irrigated and dryland soybeans and wheat. Experience with irrigation has provided a tremendous yield increase as well as stability from year to year. This is an area that will be expanded in the future as suitable land is available. In addition to row crop production I also sell Ag Leader yield monitors and guidance systems. I can provide service for Case AFS and John Deere Greenstar systems as well. Help is available on setting up software and importing the needed data to get started in precision ag.
